summer is less than two months away and i found the prettiest blush jelly sandals! buy them here!  i’m obsessed with this blush color for summer, but they also come in 3 other amazing colors as well. pick these up before they are sold out. they will be so useful for pool days since you don’t have to worry about them getting wet. xx

1 | bobbi brown eyeshadow stick in pink sparkle

i have been wearing this EVERY day since i got it in feb. it’s the prettiest pink eyeshadow and would work on so many skin tones. i have tried SO many pink lid colors and this is by far the best. and, it’s so easy to apply so it’s perfect for anyone on the run or who doesn’t have eyeshadow brushes because the best way to apply is to just apply directly from the stick and then rub it in with your finger. it’s so pretty for spring and summer.

2 | bcbg heel sandals

i loved these sandals all of last month and i think they will be a fave this month too. the color is is a light mauvy pink which goes with all of the colors that i’m loving at the moment. also, they are under $60 so you don’t have to worry about being too careful with them, which is ideal for me, living in mumbai which is definitely not always the cleanest. oh, and i love the bow on the back. who doesn’t love a cute bonus bow?

3 | redken blonde idol

guys, this stuff is amazing. it literally transforms your hair, especially if you are in the sun. it gives blonde hair the perfect ashy tone that diminishes when you are in the sun. think pretty cool tone instead of orange brassy hair. i’ve been searching for something that works because i’ve never had success with a purple shampoo and i’ve tried so many. i will say the packaging is pretty horrific but i will still keep buying it because i LOVE it so much.

4 | frayed skinny blush pants

i bought these at the end of jan when i was home and wore them all of last month. they are really neutral toned pink so they aren’t that in-your-face colored denim. they seem to go with almost everything i put on so it makes it super easy. i never shop here but randomly walked in and loved these. just a tip- size down, bc they run big.

5 | louis vuitton josephine wallet

i finally broke down and bought a new wallet. i started interning at kate spade in college and then working there when i graduated so i haven’t needed to buy a wallet in almost 10 years. scary. my last one was finally done and ready to be tossed so i picked this up and i have to say i’m loving the damier azur print. since i live in a warm client, anything light and bright just works year round.

6 | prada bear keychain and prada robot keychain

i love anything cute and these seriously spell the word cute. i fell in love with them when i was shopping in dubai last summer but held off until i saw them again in montreal. my mom is amazing and always gets me the best treats so i wasn’t surprised when she got it for me, BUT i was surprised about how much i love it. i was worried it would end up in a drawer and not really be used but it’s so practical since it’s a keychain so i just hang it on the inside or outside of my bag and can always find my keys so easily. i’m just obsessed with them! i linked a few less expensive versions here. 1 | 2

7 | revlon lipgloss in pink diamond

i have so many lip products that i can’t even keep up. it’s hard to remember what you even have at some point. i randomly started using this again one day and remembered how much i love it. it’s very unique because it’s a pretty pink with a cool metallic sheen to it and can be quite transparent or very buildable, doubling as a lipstick. i tend to just wear it on it’s own and apply a generous amount and it ends up looking like a lip and lipgloss. i can’t recommend the color enough though so if you are looking for a pink lipgloss, definitely give this a go.

i can’t believe easter is less than a week away, which means summer is coming so soon! although easter in india isn’t quite the same as home, i still like to wear spring-y pastel colors every year. since i was a little girl i always wore a pink or light blue dress and it’s a tradition i can’t give up. there isn’t a better match than pastels on easter day. i love that it reminds me of pretty easter eggs that i loved as a kid, actually who am i fooling, i still love decorating eggs with pinks, blues and glitter. i thought id show two looks that i’ll wear this sunday. both are just perfect for the day. i can’t think of anything more girly for easter than a floral lace dress or pleated preppy skirt in a pop of pastel. happy easter!

one of the many things that i love about perfume are the memories they bring. i have a few fragrances that i can’t even wear because they remind me too much of different times in my life (ie. gucci rush in high school and i. just. can’t.) and i really love that each year when the season changes, i wear the same 1-2 fragrances that i wore at the same time the previous year, while adding 1 or 2 new ones as well. it’s no surprise that i’m addicted to perfume so i wanted to share this year favorites for spring. i like to keep them light and flowery before i start wearing heavier scents in the summer. i always think spring fragrances should be the lightest of the year.

marc jacobs daisy

i’ve been wearing this every spring, into summer for the past 3 years. it’s one of my all time favorites. byredo came out with mohave ghost which smells almost exact but it’s just a tad bit lighter so if you want something a bit heavier but still perfect for spring, try this. it smells like gardenia mixed with strawberry, with woody and jasmine bottom notes. if you love gardenia, you need this! buy it here

jo malone peony & blush suede

we all know the hype around this fragrance so i debated not including it, but i just couldn’t. it smells exactly like it says, peony with a musky suede undertone. it’s just a beautiful scent that you can’t live without, especially because i wear mine layered with other scents throughout the year. it’s a staple i would highly recommend, especially if you like a light peony scent, which, who doesn’t? buy it here!

davidoff cool water sea rose

this is my newest perfume which a dear friend gave me and i find it so easy to wear. it’s the lightest of all 4 of the perfumes and i can just spritz it on no matter where i’m going and not have to worry if it’s too strong. it’s smells like sea with a rose bottom note. anything with a rose is always a win for me. buy it here.

jo malone english pear & freesia

my sister gave this perfume the last time i was home. to be honest, i wasn’t in love with it at first but now i’m obsessed. it’s very unique with the pear and freesia combo and the freesia brings back memories of when i was in middle school and i wore bath and body works freesia body mist. i would definitely get this if you want something new that smells different than most fragrances out right now. i’m actually glad i gave it a try because i hadn’t fallen in love with any new jo malone perfume since my beloved wood sage and sea salt which i could literally eat, so i’m glad to have more jo malone in my life again. buy it here.

with the cold shoulder trend being so big this year, i thought why not have one more piece before it dies out. i found this fun top from zara (which i never shop at so it was a shocking find for me) so i picked it up and thought it would be super cute for summer. i wore it in goa on a crazy hot day at brunch with these comfy current/elliott ripped boyfriend jeans and wedges, before changing into shorts and sandals for the beach (which i didn’t get pics of because i was seriously running out of beach time and well, priorities). i’ve linked the outfit down below for all of you cold shoulder fans.

there is nothing that reminds me more of vacation than palm trees. i was in goa, india this past weekend and wore this pretty blue maxi dress so i thought id share it since i know so many of you will be going away for spring break soon! i wore it all day and it was super comfy over a bikini. i went to lunch at the cutest cafe (which i highly recommend if you are ever visiting) and then spent the whole day at the beach. there is no better feeling for me than tanned skin and salt water in my hair. this palm print dress which i doubled as a coverup was one of my favorite things i wore while i was there. palm prints are so playful and right on trend for summer- oh and i LOVE the back, especially with a cute bikini in a bright color underneath. i linked mine and a few other super cute options below!

lipgloss | chanel #15 sensible. i wore this all weekend. it’s the perfect shade of coral and has a great color payoff.

the weather in mumbai is very different than anything i’m used to in the u.s.. it’s hot all year long but cools down in jan/feb a bit. it’s slowly getting hotter and hotter now and although i’m feeling and loving the summer vibes, i still like to remember the seasons back home. it’s not exactly “spring” weather here but i still did spring shopping when i was home that i thought would remind me of the season until i go back for the u.s. summer in june. sunday, i woke up late and went for the BEST brunch in mumbai at bastian and then had some errands to run around the city, so i figured i’d show a few outfit pictures from the day. i’m still trying to decide if i should head back in a few weeks to get some real springtime weather in new york. crossing my fingers.

espadrilles | steve madden, i wear a size US 6.5 and they are true to size | i was originally going to buy the chloe espadrilles  but they were sold out. then i saw the marc fisher ones which look identical but THEN i was waiting for my sister at the mall and saw the steve madden pair that i ended up purchasing. they basically all the look the same but these are WAY cheaper.

with spring and summer around the corner, i thought it would be the perfect time to write a review on the st. tropez self tan luxe face oil. i have been using it for over 6 months so i thought i would finally give a thorough review. i’ve been using self tanner since high school and have tried every single brand out there from the u.s., u.k. and dubai. last summer i bought the st. tropez self tan luxe face oil while i was in the u.s., when i randomly saw it at sephora. i had tried other st. tropez products and didn’t love them but when i saw this i thought i would give the brand one more go.

the stats:

brand: st. tropez

price: $35 for 1 oz

st. tropez markets it as is “a lightweight self-tan oil formulated for the face.

i couldn’t agree more! at least based on the results that i got from using the product. it comes in a pretty glass bottle with an eyedropper for application. the color is a medium bronze in the bottle.

how i apply it:

i apply a generous amount, about 4 full droppers on my face and then another 4 on my neck and chest (this might be a little aggressive but hey, im obsessed with a good tan!) it takes 4-6 hours for it to start tanning your skin. i usually just apply it at night. there is scent but it isn’t extremely noticeable like every other self tanner in the market, so it’s a huge bonus for me since i hate that smell. i’ve been using it every 2-3 days and one bottle lasted for over 5 months. the formula is a fast drying oil. i don’t find it to be moisturizing even though it’s an oil. it dries to a matte finish after about 10 minutes.

the verdict:

i love this self tanner and would highly recommend it. it gives me a 1-2 shades darker tone on my skin whether i have a natural tan from the sun or whether i am at my normal pale shade. i’ve used it in india in the hottest and most humid months and also in the winter months in new york, and it works great in both types of weather.  i seriously love this product and couldn’t live without it. when i was traveling back to the u.s. in december, it broke in my luggage and i literally bought a new one the next day because i NEEDED it.

the cons:

the application could be easier. i don’t think the eyedropper is the easiest as it runs between your fingers when you drop it out.

overall, this is by far my FAVORITE self tanner. it doesn’t leave the typical orange shade and doesn’t have a bad smell which most self tanners are famous for. it gives a glowy, bronze tone and has a slight earthy smell that goes unnoticed once dried. the texture being a dry oil is also unlike other typical tanners which all have a sticky finish. if you haven’t tried it, make sure and pick it up soon and thank me later.

1. BKR HEART WATER BOTTLE: i’ve been using and loving these bottles for the past 5 years, as soon as they came out. i love the glass bottle but i love the shape even more and how easy they are to carry. i fell in love with this pink and silver heart bottle when i was shopping at holts in montreal. it’s the cutest thing ever and is such a fun valentine’s day gift for a friend.

2. DIAMOND LIPS EARRINGS: i saw these online a few days ago and couldn’t order them fast enough. the lips are perfect for valentines day but i love them for any day of the year since they are small studs. it helps that they are on sale too! i’m just sad i can’t get mine until the next time i go home since i didn’t ship them to india.

3. DIPTYQUE ROSA MUNDI CANDLE : i saw this at holts in montreal as well (i clearly shop there too much) when i was eating lunch at the cafe. i saw the print from afar and was immediately drawn to it because it’s so beautiful and feminine. when i smelled it, i couldn’t pass it up, even though my sister had just given me two new diptyque candles just two days before. i didn’t think anything could smell better than the usual roses candle from diptyque which is my all time fave, but it actually does. it offers a unique and yummy rose aroma making it a true luxury gift for anyone.

4. SUGARFINA BENTO BOX: i ordered this candy box for some family and friends. i wanted to send candy but really wanted something different. i was originally going to send compartes chocolate, which is divine as well but thought this was something new and cute to try. candy is obviously perfect for vday but this adds a luxe touch to something so ordinary.

5. KATE SPADE JEWELRY BOX: i LOVE kate spade jewelry boxes. i have two that i keep out and they are so feminine and young. i seriously love them. they make for something unique with character, unlike a typical jewelry box. these are such a fun way to store your jewelry and also double as a decor piece. kate spade will always have my heart for so many reasons and these jewelry boxes just add to that love.

i love the seasons of the north country and the fashion variety they provide. i often miss this aspect of fashion living in india. but when i visit home in the adirondacks and canada during winter, i sometimes feel like i don’t dress sporty or mountain-y enough. one of the first days that i was home, my sister and i were shopping and she convinced me to buy this vest and i’ve been LOVING it. it’s a beautiful metallic silver color that looks amazing outside against the snow. it’s perfect for warmer days under a sweater and even better for colder days under a jacket. when i’m shopping or inside a restaurant i also still stay warm once i take my coat off (this is a real struggle if you live in a cold weather climate), and let’s be honest all i do is shop and go out with family and friends when i’m visiting so it solves that dilemma. my favorite part is that it’s sporty enough so i fit in with everyone else, but also chic because of the color and slim fitting style. this vest and my burberry down jacket have definitely been my two staples this winter and i’ve enjoyed a change from my usual warm weather wardrobe. shop the look below!
