i’m really a bad blogger. i haven’t posted anything in over a month because i just can’t get it together. but i’m back with the prettiest dress ever! i was in montreal on my way to my flight a few weeks ago and ran into holt renfrew (my fave store) like a true shopping maniac. i didn’t need anything but shopping before a flight just makes me happy because then i can dream about it for the next 24 hours in the air. so anyway, i was running around the store like a crazy person with my mom and saw this dress and it fit perfectly when i tried it on and the fact that it was the last one sold me, so i bought it. i looked it up online and actually got a really bad deal with the canadian pricing, but oh well. i might just live in this dress and i can’t imagine ever finding anything prettier although zimmermann never surprises me with their beautiful prints. she is probably my favorite designer right now. i’m obsessed with the vintage-inspired floral print. i also LOVE the sweetheart neckline with the bow. the cut-out at the waist probably sold me because it has an indian feel so i can wear it here too. i linked a very similar dress below for under $125 if you want a more affordable option.

i think summer has officially arrived in ny, just 2 months late. oh well, i’ll take it (bring on the pool and beach days, finally)! i love quality clothes, that are well made, and if they transition into two seasons, that’s even better. this cotton, floral printed prada dress (sold out, but listed a similar style here) is literally a dream. the cut and stitching is next level and never ceases to amaze me when i wear it. i love the deep navy and small floral print because i can wear it into the cooler months with suede booties. a good dress is definitely worth splurging on. i wore it with these jimmy choo nude wedges which are my go-to shoes this summer. they are super high, but comfy, and go with everything.

i’ve listed some dress options below that are perfect for right now but will also transition into september and october!

summer has finally arrived (kind of) in northern ny and there is nothing prettier than the sunsets here. the best sunsets happen when it’s going to be sunny the next day and lucky for me, when i shot these pictures it was one of those times. i decided to take a tip from the article i wrote for vogue all the ways to wear your favorite fruit this summer and ordered this fun pineapple print dress by jcrew. i love the colors and style. i’m a very picky shopper especially when it comes to dresses since i have so many and see so much (work and i shop too much, way too much). it has to have something extra special about it for me to buy it. i absolutely love the print and color scheme and also LOVE how the straps tie up on the shoulders. it’s the ideal dress for summer. also, i love these patent nude cork wedges and managed to find them (linked below). happy summer!

i love a good nautical look during the u.s. summers. i went to lake placid for lunch on sunday and thought this was the perfect look because it was sunny, hot and the restaurant was on the lake, overlooking all of the boats. i’m definitely in a shorts phase, maybe because i wouldn’t wear them in india, but i bought 3 new pairs last weekend and am loving them all, but particularly these white fringe cutoffs. one of my all time favorite places to shop in the adirondacks is the isle of you. i always love their summer collections because they keep it fresh and young, yet super wearable. i also picked up this off shoulder anchor and stripe printed top and love the almost-cropped length. i rarely switch bags but this vineyard vines rattan and metallic clutch matched and since rattan/wicker are so in this summer, i was happy to bring it out. unfortunately it’s sold out but i linked two other really cute and similar options below which are perfect for summer.

summer is finally here in ny as of wednesday. i came just in time from india and monsoon season. when i got here it was raining for days and then on wednesday the sun finally came out and (crossing my fingers) it’s been pretty nice since! i wore these free people culotte shorts to dinner and they were the perfect way to break into summer. i love the pleats and fit of culottes since they give that cool, relaxed vibe, as if you didn’t try too hard. i also love this tank that i ordered from bloomingdales. i love it. it’s definitely my style. you know when you see something and you just say to yourself “that’s so me”, well that’s what happened when i saw this. i love the light pink color. i mean, millennial pink is everyone’s favorite right now i think so i can’t have enough. plus, the floral print with the ruffle is just the cutest. the heels are great for summer and then can be worn into fall since they are suede! i linked the items below!

every year as summer approaches, i start to love everything rose gold again, especially anything beauty related. sun kissed skin and rose gold makeup is the most beautiful combination. my go-to makeup look this summer will be mostly rose gold with a hint of pink, with some new and old product faves. i’ve listed what i’m using below to get this bronzy pink look.

on my eyes:

i’m wearing this new tom ford eyeshadow duo in color paradiso. it’s literally amazing. i had bought it in naked bronze in january and loved the cream to powder formula so much that i bought it in paradiso. i’m obsessed with it. it’s so pretty and the perfect pink with a hint of metallic which ends up being a rosey gold. it’s a cream base that is gorgeous on it’s own but then you can add a metallic powder on top for a dramatic look. this eyeshadow is on the pricier side, BUT it’s totally worth it and i think i’ll get it in the color sun worship next. also, tom ford packaging is just beautiful as per usual which is always an added bonus

on my cheeks:

i use the loreal true match lumi liquid illuminator in color rose on the tops of my cheeks. it’s a true rose gold color and the formula is a sheer shimmer as opposed to some which have flaky sparkles which is a big no no. i highly recommend it for all skin types.

on my lips:

ysl rouge volupte lipstick in lingerie pink paired with the ysl gloss volupte in nude carat. this is an amazing combo. i love them both on their own or with other products as well, but paired together leaves you with a golden nude-pink gloss. the lipstick is matte which gives you the pink color but the gloss gives your lips some depth and tones down the very pink color into a more nude gold which is perfect for this look. sometimes in the summer, i’ll just wear the gloss which is equally beautiful on it’s own.

my perfume:

the tom ford orchid soleil perfume screams summer. first, let’s talk about the bottle. it’s beautiful. it’s what sold me before i even smelled it. maybe i could sense that it would smell like balmy beach nights. it’s a warm, peppery scent with notes of  tuberose. it’s very original so if you want something different, definitely pick it up for summer.

hi guys! so i did some online shopping a few weeks ago in the u.s. because i had some family visiting me in mumbai. it was such a treat because after living here, trust me, shopping in the u.s. is just a breeze. anyway, i wish i could branch out of the color blush right now because i’ve literally been crushing on it since january when i was home last, but i guess i can’t because when i saw this color, i had to have it! i also really wanted some more bell sleeves, so it was a match for me. i love everything about this dress. it’s the perfect “me” dress. the color, lace and style. the skater style with the bell sleeves reminds me of my figure skating days, which always makes me happy anyway. also, the shoes are SO pretty! i’ve been living in them. lucky for you, the dress is now majorly on sale from the time i bought it. there are only a few sizes left in this color so hurry up and grab it! also, this ysl lipstick in color lingerie pink is AMAZING! everything is linked below.

last week, my mom and i went for a quick vaca to kerala in south india. just the sound of that sounds like paradise, and it truly was. we stayed at the amazing leela property there, which was on the beach and just so beautiful and tropical. i’m lucky enough to have summer weather almost 365 days a year but being on vacation just brings a magical glow. nothing beats wavy, salty hair and a tan while staying on a lush green property! my sweet mom and sister brought me all the cute vaca clothes so i really lucked out since i didn’t have to hunt around here in india (bikinis really don’t exist)! two of my favorites were these adorable pom pom tie dyed shorts and relaxed white lace trim top! i can’t think of a better match for pom pom shorts than a beachy vaca. they are all linked below so grab them in time for summer!
